Later.next day of playing.I load game up and same Leviathan is there hunting me in the shallows. I've also made that same leviathan angry and it chased me into the shallows. I think this is necessary to ensure each zone is stable.įor example, I've killed the leviathan hanging out at the back of our crashed spaceship so I could scavenge in there without it chomping my seamoth like a tin can.that it is.and then later after putting game down a while.there's another leviathan there. My guess is that when you lured the Reaper into a different biome, the game doesn't keep track of that Reaper's life or death state - it's still considered "alive" in its home Biome.Įach Biome probably has its own "states" and "memory" that is independent from one another.

And, more than that if your count restarts where I hadn't played very much into it before deciding to begin again fresh.as I was learning the ropes.

I played this over again like 4 times now. This has happened for me in multiple different play-throughs. I'm talking on a separate (new) game save from the save that I had killed the reaper from the crash site in the shallows. On next play session.another reaper 're-spawns' in shallows. I can lure it all way back to shallows kelp area.save game.kill it.save game.exit game. That's the only thing I can think of for why they'd keep 're-spawning' in shallows.Įdit: I can also do this with the reaper on the other side of the shallows.just beyond the blood kelp. So, it's either they are 're-spawning' or the fact that 'up to 10' being able to spawn around the crash zone has somehow set a new spawn point in the shallows cuz I had lured one there. Start-up game again.little bit later another is spawned in same kelp bed area of shallows.again. For that matter, I can make one chase me out to shallows area.kelp bed area or whatever.save my game. would it keep re-spawning in the shallows next to my base. There are around 6 Reapers behind the Aurora. Maybe this isn't true with some in a certain location but, not all of them. So, not re-spawning? Don't think I believe that. And, after saving, exiting, resuming game, the leviathan ually back in their original area.įor example, I've killed the leviathan hanging out at the back of our crashed spaceship so I could scavenge in there without it chomping my seamoth like a tin can.that it is.and then later after putting game down a while.there's another leviathan there. I've killed lots of leviathans.Or, I should say.the same leviathan.many times. Originally posted by Mardoin69:Hmm.not sure I agree.based on my experience.maybe my game was bugged.
